The company said in a press release that the expansion “demonstrates its growing momentum as a thriving Proof-of-Stake blockchain which continues to build a reputation as the leading choice for brands and institutions looking to build the Web3 revolution.”
With the latest update, USDT is now available on 12 blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Polygon and TRON. Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino said:
“Tezos is coming fast onto the scene and we believe that this integration will be essential to its long-term growth.”
The move comes after Tether launched a new stablecoin pegged to the Mexican Peso under the MXN₮ ticker. The company said that initially MXN₮ will be available on Ethereum, TRON, and Polygon; however, it didn’t provide the timetable for the launch.
